Ground Transportation Coordinator


Minimium Requirements

A High School diploma or GED with 2 years of management experience supervising a minimum of ten (10) people including responsibilities of preparing work schedules, monitoring time & time attendance, issuing disciplinary actions, conducting annual employee evaluations and using conflict management to resolve problems. Must be proficient with Microsoft office.


Essential Tasks

  • Managing the Authority's AVI (Automated Vehicle Inspection) System that includes overseeing the licensing, permitting, and inspecting of the Airport's ground transportation operators i.e. taxis, limousines, vans, hotel shuttles, charter buses and etc...
  • Managing the Authority's Shuttle Bus operations which includes scheduling, monitoring time and attendance, and supervising the daily operations of the shuttle bus drivers
  • Managing the Authority's Taxi Starter operation to ensure that airport passengers seeking taxi transportation receive prompt assistance by maintaining an orderly and sequential taxi cab line
  • Implementing and maintaining the policies and regulations pertaining to the Authority's ground transportation operations
  • Coordinating all ground transportation operations including taxis, hotel and other shuttles, limos, buses, occasional users, and all other users
  • Serving as the point of contact for distributing information and/or responding to complaints regarding ground transportation services at the airport
  • Must be visually observant and attentive to details regarding curbside services and ensure that the ground transportation staff provides excellent customer service to all passengers.

  • Writing clearly in order to effectively complete reports, memorandums, letters, or other documentation as required
  • Collecting ground transportation revenue
  • Must display very good organization and time management skills
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with a diverse group of people and interact with many various types of personalities. Must be able to effectively resolve conflicts
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, work outdoors all temperatures and weather conditions, and noisy environment.
  • While performing this job, the individual is required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The individual is occasionally required to bend or kneel.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
