Each fall, the Birmingham Airport Authority sponsors the Annual Golf for Schools Event. The event raises funds that go to enhance the overall education of our students. Nearly $10,000 has been raised each year since the inception of the tournament and has allowed for such purchases as new computers, audio video equipment and student reading stations.
The Birmingham Airport Authority Fourth Annual Golf for Schools was once again a great success! With more than 100 golfers participating, this year's tournament was the largest and most successful year ever. All proceeds from the tournament will go to enhance the education of local students by supporting the Airport's adopted neighbor schools: Curry Elementary, Gibson Elementary and Barrett Elementary.
