Birmingham Airport Authority's Ninth Annual "Golf for Schools" on October 6, 2010 was a huge success. Each year sponsors and supporters commit to enriching the lives of youth in our communities. This year's "Golf for Schools" will impact more children than ever before with over $60,000 in commitments received. These contributions in collaboration with the McWane Science Center will give school aged children the opportunity to experience math and science like never before.
In 2010, students not only got to roam the exhibit halls at the McWane Science Center, but also were given the opportunity to explore the depths of space and take a walk on the moon at the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center. With hands-on and interactive learning exhibits, these experiences allowed a whole new perspective on science and math while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
